N.A.P has developed every a/c kit we sell.

Nostalgic Air Parts specializes in a/c kits for classic cars, some British cars and Jeeps.  All the systems we sell are designed and manufactured by us in Tampa Florida.  We offer two types of kits for classic cars; the first type is a direct fit system that will bolt into the vehicle without any modifications.  The second type is a universal fit system that can be adapted to almost any vehicle without any major modifications.  The direct fit kits we offer at this time are kits we have designed in house with the customer in mind.

Since we are a manufacturer we are always ready to design new kits for vehicles.  If you would like information about designing a system for a particular application please feel free to call us.  We have manufactured many different setups for customers including airplane evaporators, big truck and agriculture applications.

Our a/c kits are the simplest kits to install and do not require the car to be altered in any way.  If we do not have a direct fit kit listed it is because we have not had the opportunity to fit that particular vehicle or we have decided against designing a specific kit due to the limited demand.  Our universal kits work great in any old classic, except for six volt systems.  We do not carry any six volt a/c systems. If you have a vehicle that you would like to install a universal system into we have already laid out the basic kits.

If you view our complete kits page you will see products listed as complete kit no evaporator, and complete kit no evaporator no compressor. These kits are designed to fit into vehicles while the customer chooses the look of the evaporator. We allow the customer to figure out which evaporator to use and we give the customer a way to save money by using a compressor that is already mounted on an engine.  As for choosing the evaporator you can view our help page for information on fitting the exact evaporator you prefer into your vehicle.

We offer two different types of a/c systems.  The first is an underdash, the underdash kits are available with a/c only, a/c and heat, and some have a/c, heat, and defrost.  The underdash kits are the easiest to install into a vehicle.  You can mount the unit under the dash without doing any other work on the inside of the vehicle.  The indash systems are available with a/c only, a/c and heat, and a/c, heat, and defrost.  These systems require the removal of the original heater box.  The indash evaporator box mounts on the inside of the vehicle, mounted on the firewall behind the glove box.  These systems require the vents and controls to be mounted under or in the dashboard.  The indash units can also be used with the original controls.

If you have a vehicle newer than 1980 we do not have much of a selection.  Nostalgic Air Parts does not sell any kits for import cars newer than 1980, and we have a small selection available for trucks newer than 1980.  If you have a pickup truck that does not have air and would like to know what is available please email or call us for a price and availability.

As mentioned in the first paragraph we manufacture kits for some British cars, and Jeep Wranglers.  At this time we are working a/c kits for all the popular British vehicles MGB's, TR-6s, and Mini Coopers.  In the future we will expand our product line but for now we are finalizing these three vehicles.  Jeep Wranglers are another one of our specialities.  We  design and manufacture the most complete original style kits.  Our Wrangler kits will not alter the wiring of the Wrangler, will not cause any electrical problems, will not require the electric fan system to be altered, and will not alter the appearance of the Jeep.  At the present time we are developing rear a/c for the new JK four door wrangler.  The rear a/c will be available Mid 2009.
