FJ-40 Toyota Landcruiser Kit W/ a Small Block Chevy Engine

Complete heat air and defrost system for a Toyota Landcruiser with a small block Chevy engine.  The kit includes a slimline evaporator unit that fits under the dash with our direct fit brackets. The system will include all the necessary block off plates, and grommets to route the hoses through the firewall.  The kit will not interfere with the stock glove box, it does require the removal of the factory heater system.  The defrost outlets on the evaporator unit will hook up to the factory defrost outlets under the dash.  The system has electric controls, no cables necessary.  All four controls are moutned into the evaporator unit next to the four vent outlets.

The kit is brand new and includes:

• Heat air defrost evaporator unit with mounts, block off plates, grommets, and expansion valve
• Electronic controls
• Small block chevy engine compressor bracket
• Sanden style compressor with clutch assembly and oil
• 44-1418 Superflow condenser with condenser mount kit
• Oring drier with mount strap
• R-134a hose kit
• High / low pressure switch
• Directions

This kit is designed to use R-134a refrigerant.  The kit will include the major components to add the system, R-134a refrigerant, belts, engine pulleys, and heater hoses, are not included.  Your FJ may need the radiator fan upgraded if it is not sufficient.  The hose kit is not pre-crimped you will need to have a shop crimp the a/c hoses.

The evaporator unit is manufactured in the USA by Nostalgic Air Parts, Inc.

The setup requires a double groove water pump pulley, and a triple groove crank pulley.  Please specify in checkout if you have a long or short water pump and if the alternator is on the driver or passenger side.    A short water pump will sit up against the timing chain cover, a long water pump will have a one inch gap between the rear of the pump and the timing chain cover.
