Oldsmobile 455 CI Alternator & Remote Power Steerng Kit
Oldsmobile 455 cubic inch big block engine serpentine conversion kit. This Ultra kit will convert a big block oldsmobile engine from V-belts to Serpentine with the option for a remote power steering setup. The kit is designed to put the alternator and power steering pump on the driver side. The kit uses a serpentine belt with idler pulleys to eliminate the possibility of belt slippage. The kits pulleys are the same size as the stock pulleys to keep the vehicles charging system, and cooling system working properly. The remote power steering setup is designed to use a 1987 Pontiac Sunbird remote resevoir pump.
- The kit includes:
- Combination alternator power steering bracket with idler pulley
- Alternator relocator arm
- Aluminum crank pulley
- Aluminum water pump pulley with nose cover
- Aluminum alternator pulley, fan, and nose cover
- Remote power steering pump cover with aluminum pulley, and pulley nose cover
- Tensioning rods and rod ends
- All necessary mounting hardware
This setup comes polished with clear powder coating to eliminate future polishing. It is also available in black powder coated, and chrome.
A standard Oldsmobile forward rotation short water pump has to be used with this kit. The setup will also fit Pontiac Firebirds with a 455 CID engine. The kit does not include the belts, alternator, power steering pump, resevoir, or p/s hoses
