Why Choose Nostalgic Air Parts
There are many companies in the aftermarket air conditioning industry. All of the companies have their own niche in the industry. It is the goal of Nostalgic Air Parts (NAP) to be number one in customer service, have products shipped within 48 hours of your purchase, technical support over the Internet seven days a week 24 hours a day, and over the phone seven days a week from the hours of 8:00 to 5:00 est. NAP is also committed to having the most user friendly website among all of our competitors in the industry.
Over the past 30 years of our experience we are always asked one question over and over again. "How do your parts compare to the competitors?" Our answer for 30 years has been the same to everyone. We carry a quality a/c product for a fair price that is capable of performing as well as any of our competitors. An a/c system is only capable of blowing 32 degrees Fahrenheit continuously out of the vents. If the system remains colder then 32 degrees the system will freeze up. The a/c system we offer is the standard for every company in the industry. There are only a hand full of companies in the industry that manufacture most of the parts in an a/c system. The evaporator core, condenser, expansion valve, drier, hoses, fittings, and compressor are all standard parts. There is not any difference in our competitors copper or aluminum evaporator and ours. It is most likely from the same source. When a company speaks about their manufacturing facility that is in house, they are only talking about manufacturing certain items that are a part of the entire system. The most common product that is manufactured is the plastic housing around the evaporator core. Some companies have gone beyond the call of duty to manufacture great kits such as electric operated controls, or fancy compressor setups that use a serpentine belt. Other companies buy all the components from distributors and resell them as their own product. At the end of the day a copper evaporator is a copper evaporator with plastic around it. An aluminum condenser designed for R-134a is just that, a filter drier is a standard drier, and expansion valve is made with no agenda of being better for one company over another. The compressor is a pump, and only a pump. The compressor does not have any bearing on the temperature of the air coming out of the vents.
As for the quality of parts we sell compared to our competitors. We have heard all the lies, excuses, and rhetoric on why one company's product is better than ours, or that of another company. There are two examples of our competitor's reasons on why they are better then another company. The first one we heard was that the "chrome on the under-dash unit does not stick to the plastic; this is why we do not sell under-dash a/c units." Since there are only two or three companies in the industry that "chrome" the plastic on the a/c units, vents, and controls it baffles us how they could say such a thing. If this were true the "chrome" on their vents would not stick to the plastic. The second line we heard was "our evaporator is colder than the another company's." If you read the paragraph above you will understand the ignorance in such a statement.
We are offering this page to our customers of past, present, and future because we are certain at NAP that we can compete with our competitors. We may not be able to perform any better then them at the vents of an aftermarket a/c system, but we can assure you we out perform all of them with customer service, shipping our orders promptly, and our ability to understand the needs of our customers. As NAP grows we know it is in our best interest to offer the consumer with a great product for a fair price. We also know that these companies that are misleading the consumer about how great they are and how bad the other companies are, are only succeeding because the consumer is not aware of the simplicity in the aftermarket a/c system.
